Posting Guidelines
Ads Posting Guidelines for Nepalese Center Users
Nepalese Center is committed to providing a safe, reliable, and trustworthy platform for its users. By posting ads, you agree to adhere to the guidelines outlined below. Any violation of these rules may result in the actions specified.
1. Multiple (Duplicate/Repeat) Ad Posting
Users are not allowed to post more than one similar active ad. "Similar active ads" refer to ads selling or looking for the same product or service, even if these ads contain different text or images and are posted from the same or different account.
Example: A user cannot post two ads for "Event management services" or "Food delivery services" under the same category if they are identical or offer the same service.
Action: Duplicate ads will be removed.
2. Misleading and Fraudulent Ads
Nepalese Center does not tolerate misleading or fraudulent ads. The following are considered violations:
- Irrelevant Titles and Prices: Ads must have a title, price, and content that are accurate. For instance, an ad titled "Wedding Photography Package for $100" must genuinely reflect the service offered.
- Price and Contact Information: Price and phone number should be entered in their respective fields, not in the title.
- Misleading Claims: Ads with exaggerated claims such as "Limited time offer" or "Best deal of the year" without valid proof are not allowed.
- Inaccurate Pricing: Ads must reflect the correct price. For example, advertising a price of $500 but later requesting $600 is prohibited.
- Incorrect Product Condition: Used goods cannot be listed as new, and defective items cannot be misrepresented as perfect.
- Illegal Goods: Selling stolen items, replicas, or counterfeit products as original is forbidden.
- Misleading Images: Ads must use appropriate images relevant to the product or service, not unrelated or inappropriate visuals.
3. Mis-Categorized Ads
Ads must be posted in the correct category. Mis-categorized ads are those placed in irrelevant sections.
Example: A job posting for a marketing position should be listed under the Jobs & Internship category, not under Food or Products.
Action: Users are responsible for selecting the correct category. If uncertain, review similar ads to determine the appropriate placement.
4. Posting Illegal or Morally Obscene Ads
Nepalese Center prohibits ads that violate Canadian laws or are morally inappropriate.
Prohibited Content:
- Ads for adult entertainment (e.g., escort services, indecent massages, pornography) or sexually explicit items.
- Hate speech or content targeting individuals, groups, or religions.
- Ads for illegal goods, such as weapons, drugs, human organs, endangered animals, or black-market items.
- Intellectual property violations, such as infringing on copyrights or privacy rights.
Actions for Violations
Users found violating these rules may face the following actions:
- Immediate removal of the offending ad(s).
- Temporary suspension or permanent banning of the user account, depending on the severity of the violation.
Contact Us
If you have questions or concerns about these rules, please contact us at [email protected].
